Flying bats and the like
Most matches proceed without incident. Occasionally mishaps
do happen, usually due to two people trying to occupy the same
space simultaneously or due to slipping over. Flying bats (rounders bats that is)
are definitely dangerous. The list below isn't intended to be comprehensive
but may help:
Don't throw the bat!
This is surprisingly easy to do. Apart from the safety issue, you will
be given out by the umpires if you throw the bat. Just try
not to throw the bat and watch out for flying bats!
Call when catching
Two people running to field the same ball ... Both looking upwards ...

Stumping out
If you're attempting to stump someone out be careful not to trip them over
or do an American football style tackle on them. This is rounders we're
talking about!
Slippery pitches
We don't play in the rain because of this, but the pitches
can still be slippery on a warm, sunny day.
